On Thursday, March 21, 2013, PRSSA hosted its eighth annual Goodwill fashion show. Thirty-seven student volunteers modeled outfits that were hand selected from local Goodwills. To get into the fashion show, students were asked to donate at least one piece of clothing. PRSSA was able to collect over 300 pieces of clothing for Indianola Goodwill.
The judges narrowed the decision down to three finalists, sophomore Keegan Carson, a junior duo of Tyler Craig and Josh Pirtle, and senior Ted Heying. Carson, sporting a short-sleeved plain jumpsuit, was announced the winner from the judges. The judges included Jane Murphy, Communications Professor and PRSSA Advisor, JoAnna Freeland, Student Body President, and Heather Sinclair, Goodwill Manager.
“We are very happy with the turnout of the event,” President Natalie McCormick and Treasurer Alyssa Frank said. “We originally planned to have at least 100 students come and watch, and with over 200 attending, it was a success.”
