Students are encouraged to gain a competitive edge by completing at least one internship during college. Many students find opportunities in the Greater Des Moines area, but others travel to other parts of the US and the world to gain experience.
Our students have recently been accepted for internships at Ernst & Young, one of the Big Four accounting firms, BKD LLP, a national CPA and advising firm and DuPoint Pioneer.
Why do internships matter? First, it's a great way to gain practical experience and an understanding of what your career might look like. Second, our majors have enjoyed great success turning internships into jobs. Some receive offers before they graduate.
