Procedures & Requirements

Application Process

Simpson College accepts applications on a rolling basis.  Once a student’s file is complete, they will typically have an admission decision within two weeks.  Simpson starts accepting applications in August.

Counselor Recommendation Form

All first year students applying to Simpson must include a Counselor Recommendation form with their application, (webpage version) or (pdf version).  This information is used by the admission committee to make an educated decision on the student’s potential for success at Simpson.  We appreciate you taking the time to complete this form.  We also accept counselor recommendations through the Common Application.

There are three ways for your students to apply to Simpson.  They can apply online, use the Common Application or by completing a Printable Version.

Test Scores

We accept both the ACT and the SAT.  Subject tests are not required.  Simpson will also superscore test scores, so please be sure your students send us scores from all of their test dates.  The super score will be used for admission as well as scholarships.
