There are many opportunities to apply for grant funding through foundations and government agencies locally, regionally and nationally. The Office of College Advancement is available to help faculty members and staff in their grant seeking endeavors to fund innovative projects that will benefit students and the entire Simpson community.
It is important to match Simpson's objectives, initiatives and needs with the interests and priorities of possible funding sources. If you have an idea for a new project, would like to expand an existing project, or have specific equipment needs, please review the instructions for submitting a request for assistance and then complete the Worksheet: Request for Grant Assistance form and return it to the Office of College Advancement.
Instructions for submitting a request:
Step 1:
Open the worksheet and complete the form. Please be as descriptive as possible.
Step 2:
Share your project idea and intent to request grant assistance with your department chair or appropriate supervisor. Return the form to the Office of College Advancement located in Hillman Hall.
Step 3:
Your request will be reviewed by the director of foundation and government support, and you will be contacted within two weeks after submitting your worksheet.
Step 4:
A phone conversation or meeting will be set to discuss next steps and project feasibility. The worksheet must then be approved and signed by the vice president and dean for academic affairs.
Step 5:
An agreed upon timeline will be determined in order to complete the grant application by the due date.
