The Presidents’ Society

The Presidents’ Society is recognized as the premier philanthropic group at Simpson assisting the college in its mission of graduating students who will see, serve, and shape the world.  Members of The Presidents’ Society are provided opportunities to become acquainted with the President as well as the plans for the future. In addition, members receive The Presidents’ Society newsletter and are invited to an annual dinner where they are recognized for their dedication and service to the College.

All donors are recognized in Simpson’s annual report.  Leadership clubs recognize those donors who provide The Simpson Fund with gifts of $125 or more.  Corporate matching gifts are credited for determining club membership levels.

The Matthew Simpson Society

In 1937, the family of the College’s namesake Bishop Matthew Simpson bequeathed property valued at $300,000 to the Permanent Endowment Fund. Each year since, the income from this gift has been used to support student scholarships and academic programs.

Today, Simpson has many alumni and friends who leave their Simpson legacy through an estate gift.  To honor these loyal people, the Simpson College Board of Trustees established The Matthew Simpson Society. Membership in the Society is extended to anyone who has made provisions for Simpson through either an annuity, trust, life insurance policy, retirement plan or a bequest in their will. To become a member of The Matthew Simpson Society simply let us know that your estate plans include a gift to Simpson College.
