Continuing & Graduate Programs recognizes Des Moines Metro employers who support adult students through tuition support, encouragement, and mentoring. Employers, the business community, students, and faculty are invited. We will celebrate with refreshments, music, and a brief program.
This is the 6th year Team Simpson will be pedaling across the state as part of RAGBRAI, the oldest, largest and longest bicycle touring event in the world. This year’s ride is 418 miles long with a total climb of 11,316 feet, making it the third shortest and second flattest route in RAGBRAI’s 42-year history. You may not be able to join Team Simpson this year for RAGBRAI, but you can look for the team along the route from Rock Valley to Guttenberg and give them an encouraging Simpson shout-out or follow them on Facebook or Twitter at SimpsonRagbrai.
Orpheus Summer Music Camp
An exciting music camp experience for high school musicians including classes in music theory and history, daily individual lessons available in voice, piano, and wind and percussion instruments. The camp will also include choral ensembles and workshop training for operetta and musical theatre as well as instrumental chamber ensembles.

Iowa Private College Week

Don’t miss this opportunity to see what Simpson has to offer! There are two sessions to choose from each day at 9:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.. While you are on campus, you’ll have the chance to learn why Simpson is the place to be.

Transitions is a free course for adults who are considering a return to college. This three-night orientation will introduce you to adult students, faculty and staff, provide answers to all of your questions about earning a part-time degree, and includes a tour of each campus.

Bring the family out to Principal Park! Join your fellow alumni and friends of Simpson College at the ballpark for a tailgate followed by the I-Cubs vs. Salt Lake. We will provide light appetizers for the tailgate. Please bring your own drinks, lawn chairs, and any additional food for you and your family. The Alumni Office will also provide tickets for you and your immediate family to the I-Cubs vs. Salt Lake game. RSVP is required and tickets are limited.

The Wayne Carse Storm Athletic Benefit features an incredible day filled with two events: The Wayne Carse Storm Golf Classic and the 19th Hole Campus Fest. With a new festival format in 2014, the athletic fundraiser now includes a golf outing at the Indianola Country Club followed by an on-campus celebration at Simpson’s Kent Campus Center and Pedestrian Plaza.
