This past year, Simpson College navigated its way through challenging times. Institutions
that are able to achieve this type of success are able to move quickly, make difficult yet
strategic decisions and see the promise of opportunity rather than what stands in the way of
opportunity. Guided by the strong leadership of President John Byrd, support from the Board of
Trustees and the hard work of the entire Simpson community, we now find ourselves in a position
