Many of our students choose to explore a different culture during a May Term trip. Although the trips are not all about art, they include elements involving the arts. Art is unavoidable in any cultural environment that you may visit. The Art Department has arranged various May Term trips specific to the arts, including trips to major museums in Europe, Malaysia, China and most recently, Mexico.

Drawing the LIne Between Humans and Animals: Studio Experiments – The Media of Drawing

Taking It to the Streets: A Survey and Practice of Performance Art, which culminated in a public performance art piece at the Fourth Street Theatre in Downtown Des Moines.
