Rugby

JOIN OUR TEAM!

Olympic-style rugby combines the physicality of football, the passing ability of basketball and the footwork of soccer. It’s a great way to get in shape, stay in shape and feed your need for competition. Simpson College introduced rugby as a club sport during the 2012-13 academic year. You can help us build on the great success of our first year, when we finished fourth in the country.

THE BENEFITS OF JOINING TEAM SIMPSON:

Learn the rules of one of the fastest-growing sports. If you don’t know what a scrum is, don’t worry. We’ll teach you. Stay in shape during the off-season for your main sport. Compete against Division I schools such as Iowa, Iowa State and Northern Iowa. Get to know, work with and depend on teammates who will become friends for life. Practice and play in an environment in which player safety is paramount. See the state and country — our team traveled to Philadelphia last year for the national championships.

It’s just good to be part of a different sport and try something new.
