I came to Simpson College in 1997 and started teaching as an adjunct professor for the Theatre Department.  17 years later, I am thrilled to be working as an Assistant Professor and head of our Recruitment and Educational Outreach program.  I teach classes in acting, discovering theatre, and voice. As head of our educational outreach, I am in charge of recruitment for the department and our annual High School Theatre Festival.   I also direct every year for our mainstage season.   Recent directing credits include, The Memory of Water, Night of the Soul and University. In addition to teaching and directing, I have worked as a professional voiceover artist for the past 18 years where I have been featured in numerous national, regional, and local radio and television commercials as well as documentaries and audiobooks.  I hold an MFA in Acting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a BA in Theatre from Olivet College.  I live in Indianola with my husband, Tom.
