I came to Simpson College in 1997 and started teaching as an adjunct professor for the Theatre Department.  15 years later, I am thrilled to be working as an Assistant Professor and head of our Educational Outreach program.  I teach classes in acting, discovering theatre, voice, and theatre history. As head of our eductional outreach, I am in charge of recruitment for the department, our annual High School Theatre Festival,  and serve as the Artistic Director for our Summer Theatre Institute.   I also direct every year for our mainstage season.  I am currently working on University by Jon Jory.  Recent directing credits include, The Glass Menagerie, Pride and Prejudice and Spring Awakening. In addition to teaching and directing, I have worked as a professional voiceover artist for the past 16 years where I have been featured in numerous national, regional, and local radio and television commercials as well as documentaries and books on tape.  I hold an MFA in Acting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a BA in Theatre from Olivet College.  I live in Indianola with my husband, Tom.
