I was born and raised in Fargo, ND, and have been a lifelong learner.  My piano training began at age 5, and maintaining a piano studio has been a priority in my life since age 15. 

The love of music has manifested itself for me in accompanying soloists, opera workshops, musicals, and choirs, through choral conducting, worship leadership, music coordinator, and especially through teaching.  It has been particularly challenging to balance this with another interest:  accounting and management.  My career path has included opportunities like association management, technology, accounting and compliance, college and graduate school accounting instructor, corporate controller, and currently Chief Financial Officer for the Perficut Companies, Inc. in Des Moines.

I am especially grateful to the rest of the executive team at Perficut so I can help shape the musical experience for students at Simpson through piano instruction.  Simpson is a wonderful place filled with terrific faculty, and it is a pleasure to be part of this community.
