I have been at Simpson College since 1997 as the Program Director of Athletic Training. Currently, I am also an Associate Professor in the Sports Science & Health Education Department. I am a nationally certified and state licensed athletic trainer as well as being nationally certified in strength and conditioning by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. I am also certified in Molecular Nutrition and Genomics by the European Nutrigenomics Organisation.
My interests lie beyond general health including the biological mechanisms and genetic pathways that alter body function which leads to more personalized medicine and well-being. I also enjoy studying concussions and their long term impact.
