I attended the University of Northern Iowa and received my BA in English and MAE in post-Secondary Student Affairs prior to coming to Simpson College. I joined Simpson college in June 1998 and serve as the director of the Hawley Academic Resource Center where I oversee the general responsibilities of the office and work with students in a variety of aspects. In addition to my administrative duties, I began teaching as an adjunct at Simpson College in the Computer Science department in 2000 and eventually decided to pursue additional graduate work in the area of Information Systems.
I completed a MS in Information Systems with an emphasis in E-Commerce in August 2009. In May 2013, I received my Doctorate of Science in Information Systems degree from Dakota State University with an emphasis in decision support, data, and knowledge management. I continue to work as a full-time administrator for the college in the Hawley Center and serve as an adjunct assistant professor in the Computer Science department. I’ve presented research at several conferences including the Americas Conference of Information Systems (AMCIS), Hawaii International conference on System Sciences (HICSS), Business Process Systems-SIG at the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), and the Midwest Association for Information Systems (MWAIS).
