Business Administration and Economics

More affordable than you might think

As the financial world evolves and stock markets remain unpredictable around the globe, the need to understand and apply business fundamentals remains the same.

The Simpson Experience gives business students the tools to understand what’s happening in the big picture while exploring the day-to-day financial influences that make a degree in business a highly marketable distinction.

Our campus, just south of the state capital, is ideal for landing prized internships at global companies based in Des Moines. Student interns have been successfully placed at Principal Financial Group, Wells Fargo, Merrill Lynch and Pioneer Hi-Bred as well as organizations outside the Des Moines metro.

Leadership and entrepreneurial skills are honed through Simpson’s chapter of CEO, a global business organization for colleges. Research and analysis skills are put to the test by investing actual money in financial markets through the Eberhart Student Investment Fund.  You can even apply your acquired skills in real-world businesses in the EMERGE@Simpson program.

All these experiences prepare you for success in today's economy.
