Simpson’s Career Services office hosts a variety of events throughout the year to help students learn about career opportunities and connect with potential employers. Below, we’ve included descriptions of our major events; we hope you will join us! Majors/Minors Fair

Every fall, students attend this event to speak with faculty members and major mentors from departments across campus to learn about academic programs offered at Simpson. Registration: faculty will receive registration instructions each fall from Career Services; students do not need to pre-register.

Fall Futures Fair

This event helps students look to the future by exploring internships, volunteer opportunities, and graduate school programs. Students of all years and majors are invited to attend. Registration: employers, service organizations, and graduate schools must pre-register on CareerPaths to attend; students do not need to pre-register. 2013 Event Details: TBA

Career Essentials

This exciting event hosts a panel of Simpson alumni who hold professional positions in a variety of industries. Panelists will provide career advice and job market insights to attending students and will field questions from the audience. Registration: alumni can express their interest in participating in the panel by contacting Career Services; students do not need to pre-register. 2014 Event Details: TBA

Mock Interview Day

Participating students will have a chance to sharpen their interviewing skills and receive professional feedback by completing “mock” interviews with employers. Students who pre-register will be assigned an interview time with an employer. Registration: employers can express their interest in participating by contacting Career Services; students must pre-register with Career Services to participate. 2014 Event Details: Thursday, January 24 from 10:00am to 3:00pm in Kent Campus Center.

Simpson College Career Fair

This is “the big one”! The Simpson College Career Fair is our largest recruiting event of the year where students can learn about part-time, full-time, and internship opportunities with employers representing a variety of industries. Registration: employers must pre-register on CareerPaths to attend; students do not need to pre-register. 2014 Event Details: TBA

Iowa College Recruiting Network (ICoRN) Events

Simpson College is a member of the Iowa College Recruiting Network (ICoRN), a cooperative recruiting service representing 29 colleges and universities from across Iowa.
