2013 Goodwill Fashion Show

Simpson’s chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America is an active student group dealing with advertising, fund-raising and hands-on experience in the corporate communication field.  Job shadowing, presentations from local professionals and an annual trip to the PRSSA National Conference are all part of this vibrant can-do organization.

The Simpson College chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America is the host of many events throughout the year. They create and sell the official homecoming t-shirts, assist the community in sponsoring a blood drive, attract members and students to their group with the Goodwill Fashion Show, and host monthly professional speakers.

As a member of Public Relations Student Society of America, you will receive many professional networking opportunities. Des Moines has a Public Relations Society of America chapter which sponsors social events to allow students to network with professionals in their field. There are monthly luncheons with professionals in Des Moines and national and regional events. Along with these professional networking opportunities, you are able to enhance your education through leadership positions and scholarship opportunities. As a PRSSA, you can use the PRSA Job Center for public relations employment opportunities.
