It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to a dear friend this week. Robert (Bob) Crandall passed away December 9th, 2013. Bob was a beloved instructor of religious studies at Simpson College and was the recipient of the 2012 Excellence in Adult Education award.
When asked to share what qualities set Bob apart from other instructors, the student who nominated him shared that Bob, “cared about how you were doing; not just in his class but in all of our classes and in general. Bob displays a deep commitment to education; not only in the courses that build our minds, but also in the community we have the builds our sense of together-ness. His joy of teaching and love for his students comes through in this touching video clip he made when he received the Excellence in Adult Education award: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6d-fBdCp5A&feature=youtu.be
