Teaching Licensure

If you have your bachelor’s degree and your goal is to become a teacher – we can help. We work with you to help you meet the initial licensure requirements to become an elementary or secondary teacher in Iowa. These programs are available to you at the undergraduate level.

We also offer graduate programs in initial licensure to become a secondary teacher. Please visit our Transition to Teaching and Master of Arts in Teaching program page for more information on these opportunities.

Teaching Endorsements for Currently Licensed Teachers

At Simpson, we understand that teachers continue to pursue additional endorsements based on your school’s needs and to help promote your professional development. We work with in-service teachers to meet these requirements and provide support at each step in the process to help assure that you are successful. With one-on-one academic advising, each student develops a personalized plan to prepare you for the program that best meets your needs.
