Employment and Graduation Statistics

The 2012 Simpson College graduates were asked to complete an employment survey to indicate level of employment and enrollment in full-time graduate study.  The survey was conducted by the Career Services department.  Of the 451 graduates, 344 responded to the survey for a 76% return rate.

Of the respondents, 327 indicated full employment or full enrollment in a graduate or professional study program.  These figures produce a job placement rate of 95% within six months of graduation from Simpson College.*

The four year graduation rate for the class of freshman entering Simpson College in 2007 is 86 percent and the six year graduation rate is 64.9 percent.

State Licensing Requirements for Teacher Licensure and Athletic Training Licensure

Students attending Simpson College in majors leading to Teacher Licensure and Athletic Training Licensure must complete coursework in preparation of licensure.  The course curricula are designed to align with the state of Iowa requirements for licensure and specific requirements must be met by the student prior to receiving recommendation for licensure.  A full description of the licensing requirements can be found at the resources listed below.

Of the respondents, 327 indicated full employment or full enrollment in a graduate or professional study program.  These figures produce a placement rate of 95% within six months of graduation from Simpson College.*  Additionally, seventeen survey respondents indicated unemployed.
