Students from all majors, with all grade points, freshmen through seniors take advantage of Hawley’s services. We work hard to make sure you have the resources and support you need to succeed.
Subject Tutoring and Writing Assistance
Sometimes, the most effective way to learn is from another student. Hawley provides faculty-approved student tutors in science, math, business, and world languages. Tutors are available to assist you in a one-on-one or group session.
In addition, the Writing Center (located on the first floor of Dunn Library) has writing consultants available to provide guidance in the writing process. These consultants can help with prewriting, organization, thesis development, documentation styles and revisions.
There are many essential skills that can help you succeed in your classes. Academic skills sessions are available in time management, text book reading, note taking, and test taking strategies.
In addition to your faculty advisor, general academic advising is available to assist you in learning more about graduation requirements, course selection, major exploration, career assistance, and other issues involving academic policies. This service complements what is provided by your faculty advisor and is another resource for you on campus.
