Simpson College seeks a qualified individual to join their Information Services Department as an Operations Manager. This is a part time position which reports directly to the Vice President for Information Services. Responsibilities include a variety of clerical and administrative duties to help support the information technology services division including: ordering desktop computers and associated supplies for the college, tracking technology assets, maintaining information services’ internal and external website, and creation and management of user accounts and e-mail boxes. The ideal candidate will have strong technology skills and attention to detail to maintain and manage inventory records and student information within the college’s database, the ability to manage multiple priorities and a strong commitment to customer service.
Candidates should possess advanced secretarial skills; knowledge of Microsoft word and excel, strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; attention to detail, and excellent technology skills with a desire and ability to learn and use specialized computer software systems. The successful candidate will be a self starter who is capable of working independently with minimal direct supervision, and is able to assist the Vice President and other staff members in the division with a wide range of tasks and responsibilities.
