The SIMPSON COLLEGE CHAMBER SINGERS is Simpson’s flagship curricular choral ensemble.  Its membership is mixed (SATB) and limited to 36 singers. The ensemble sings advanced repertoire from throughout history in all styles and genres, but specializes in a cappella and accompanied chamber music.

The ensemble performs on campus at events such as the College’s All-College Convocation, concerts in Smith Memorial Chapel, masterworks concerts with professional orchestra, the beloved Service of Lessons and Carols at Christmas and numerous other events.  Off campus, the Chamber Singers is an ambassador for Simpson College and its music program, singing in numerous churches and schools, and embarking on a national tour biennially.

Recently, the ensemble has been fortunate to accept invitations to perform with Orchestra Iowa (Beethoven's Missa Solemnis) and the Des Moines Symphony Orchestra at the Des Moines Civic Center (Beethoven 9, Hanson's Song of Democracy, and others).
