On October 23 the documentary America's Darling premiered. The film covered the life of cartoonist and conservationist Ding Darling. Darling was a longtime cartoonist for the Des Moines Register and was a leading figure in the conservation movement.
Photographer David Plowden and Director of Humanities Iowa Chris Rossi spoke about the traveling exhibit David Plowden's Iowa, which is on display in Kent Student Center until May 31. Plowden recounted his experiences traveling and photographing Iowa. He also shared the stories behind several of his photographs.
