Iowa History Internship Program
Simpson students are given the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public history at local institutions such as the Living History Farms, the State Historical Society of Iowa, the Fort Des Moines Museum, Terrace Hill, and the Iowa Department for the Blind.
Field Trip Grant Program
The Field Trip Grant Program makes Iowa history more accessible for K-12 students by sending K-12 students in the central Iowa area on Iowa history-orientated field trips.
Master's Thesis Award
The Annual Award for the Outstanding Master’s Thesis in Iowa History encourages the study of Iowa History by recognizing outstanding work in the field.
Projects and Collections
The Iowa History Center currently owns one private collection and also has an exhibit scheduled for this Spring.
