Research Assistance @ The Center - Research Assistance @ the Center is the best place to start researching a project. Librarians can guide you to relevant information and direct you to resources that are scholarly. Librarians are available Monday through Friday 8am – 4:30 pm for drop-ins.

If you would like to have more specialized time with a librarian, consider scheduling a research appointment. Here are some questions to prepare you for your appointment.

Research Guides - Wondering where to start researching a project? These are a great place to begin; journal databases and scholarly websites are available in each area.

Research Videos and How-tos - Top Research Tips, Searching Discover, including a variety of databasesjournals, and other materials.

Ask a Librarian - Have questions? Need to see us after hours? Email Ask a Librarian.

RefWorks - Innovative web-based research management, writing and collaboration tool.  Create bibliographies from electronic databases such as EBSCOhost.  Check out the RefWorks Research Guide for help and information.


Checking out materials - Present your Simpson ID each time you check out materials.

Equipment Checkout - Students can check out a variety of equipment for educational purposes in the library.

Interlibrary Loan - Provides Simpson College students, faculty, and staff research materials not available at Dunn Library.

My Library Account - Check to see what you have out and renew your materials.


Continuing & Graduate Students have full access to all library services and research databases.  All students, faculty, and staff have access to Dunn Library resources off-campus.
