Checkouts/Returns
Check out materials at the circulation counter with your Simpson I.D. Open Access participants may use their public library card.
Requests may be made by EW&G faculty, staff and students for library materials to be delivered to the Indianola, West Des Moines or Ankeny EW&G office.
If you need an item that is checked out, you may recall it. Click the Request it link at the top of the library catalog page for that item and fill in your name and library barcode. The person who has the item will receive an email with a new due date. When the item is available for pick-up, you will receive an email. Everyone is guaranteed two weeks with an item that has a four-week (or longer) loan period before it can be recalled.
Missing items will be located or replaced. Let us know at the circulation counter if an item is missing.
Renewals may be made over the phone, in person, or on Your Library Record.
Book returns are located at the circulation counter and in the front entry. Books may be returned to the Indianola, West Des Moines or Ankeny EWG offices and they will be delivered to Dunn Library.
Overdue notices are sent on the due date. Items not returned within two weeks will be billed for replacement costs and processing fees through the Business Office.
