Women's History Month
Women’s History Week began in March 1982 and expanded to a month in March 1987, honoring the accomplishments of women in the United States. Simpson College celebrates Women’s History Month with speakers, displays, and the annual performance of the Vagina Monologues.
Dunn Library has a vast collection of resources about women’s history. March’s display features information on Women’s History Month activities plus materials on suffragism, feminism, and biographies of extraordinary women. Their accomplishments have shaped the history of not only the United States but the world as well.
