Academic Search Complete* Premier scholarly database offering information in nearly every area of academic study. Citations and full-text articles available.
American Physiological Society Legacy Journals (APS) Backfiles of the journals of the American Physiological Society. Content goes back to the first issue of each of the APS journals. These include American Journal of Physiology (1898-1997) and Journal of Applied Physiology (1948-1996).
ARTstor* Digital library with over 400,000 images covering art, architecture and archeology with descriptive information as well as software tools to support research uses. Initial acquisition and first year access provided by a gift from Leroy and Mary Joyce [Baker] Pickett, class of 1962.
ATLA Religion* Provides index citations on topics such as biblical studies, world religions, church history, and religion in social issues.
BioOne.1* Full-text of over 80 bioscience research journals as well as some abstracts.
Business Source Premier* Comprehensive database including scholarly journals and business periodicals covering topics such as accounting, economics, management, and marketing. Des Moines Register* Complete full-text content of local and regional news, available from 1999 to present. UNI Library has a online index of DMR from September 1965 to June 1976. Dunn Library has a paper index July 1975 – Dec 1986. DSM Public Library has an online index to the DMR (1986-) and other Des Moines newspapers.
EBSCOhost* Search multiple databases (together or separately) to access periodicals, newspapers and reference tools, including full-text and peer reviewed. Contains specialized databases for mass communication, health and education.

Films on Demand Master Academic Collection Includes videos from Films for the Humanities and Sciences, Cambridge Educational, Meridian Education, and Shopware. Provides unlimited, instant access to programs in Humanities & Social Sciences, Business & Economics, Science & Mathematics, Health & Medicine and Archival Films & Newsreels. MEDLINE To search for articles on use physical education and athletic training use MEDLINE from FirstSearch. Includes thousands of citation records with substantial abstracts.
MLA* International in scope, it is the premiere tool for researchers in the humanities, particularly in literature, language, and linguistics, providing more than 1.6 million bibliographic citations from 1963 to the present.
National Newspapers Core* Single source for coverage of the nation’s leading newspapers: The Christian Science Monitor, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post.
Oxford English Dictionary (OED) “The ultimate authority on the English language as well as a history of English speech and thought from its infancy to the present day”. It is a unique source of scholarly information on the meaning, history and pronunciation of words both past and present.
Oxford Music Online* Oxford Music Online includes Grove Music Online, The Oxford Companion to Music, and The Oxford Dictionary of Music. Articles from specialist dictionaries such as The New Grove Dictionary of Opera and The New Grove Dictionary of Jazz.
