Simpson does this by:

- Determining reasonable, appropriate individualized accommodations for students with disabilities that substantially limit one or more major life activities, such as learning.
- Meeting with all students who have accommodation plans every semester to set goals and review accommodations.
- Meeting with students as needed to problem solve, develop self-awareness, self-advocacy skills, self-responsibility, to review goals and to provide accountability.
- Connecting students to necessary resources, such as Writing Across the Curriculum, Assistive Technology Services, Library Services, or Mental Health Services.
- Consulting with professors and staff and providing on-going staff development opportunities.
