Upcoming Performances

December 3, 2017
7:00 p.m. | Pote Theater, Blank Performing Arts Center, Simpson College

The Simpson College Community Orchestra invites you to enjoy the music of Schumann, Schubert, Benoit, and Elgar during this family-friendly concert.

Younger audience members will enjoy the Wand of Youth Suite #2  by Elgar, which features evocative melodies in movements with titles such as "Moths and Butterflies", "Tame Bear", "Fountain Dance", and "Wild Bears".

A new arrangement of "Hark, the Herald Angels Sing" by Dr. John Benoit will have its debut and will herald the coming of the Christmas season.

Following the performance, audience members may visit with each other and with the musicians of the orchestra at a reception in the lobby of the theater.  The concert and the reception are free of charge.
