Four Simpson Students Head to Harvard to Participate in Civic Engagement Conference

Students Danielle Bates of Kansas City, Mo., Jacob Bruns of Washington, Iowa, Randy Paulson of Grinnell and Emily Schwickerath of New Hampton will attend the conference with Seth Andersen, director of the John C. Simpson Speech and Debate Flexes Rhetorical Muscle at National Tourney

Simpson’s Speech and Debate Team crowned three individual champions and one runner-up at the Pi Kappa Delta National Tournament in Boise, Idaho. The debate team finished second in that category, the speech team finished eight and Simpson was sixth in the overall rankings, competing against 72 other colleges and universities. More…
