His Legacy Continues: Walt Research Library and Simpson Archives Opens

The Joseph W. Walt Research Library features the books he used to research Liechtenstein as well as posters about that country that once hung in his house. Walt became enchanted with the country as a young stamp collector and visited there almost every year. Simpson’s ATO Alumni and Undergraduates Help National Fraternity Celebrate 150 Years

Simpson’s Beta Alpha chapter of Alpha Tau Omega is the second oldest ATO chapter west of the Mississippi and the second oldest Greek chapter on the Simpson campus. The chapter, which has produced countless servant leaders throughout its 130-year history, left its mark again in August as alumni and undergraduates gathered together with nearly 700 others in Indianapolis to help the national fraternity celebrate its 150th anniversary. Make Plans to Attend: Carver Medal Ceremony to be held Jan. 27, 2016

The Carver ceremony is one of the most important events held during the academic year. It honors the memory and legacy of George Washington Carver, who began his collegiate career at Simpson College after being refused admittance to another school because of his race.
