Des Moines Man Wins Iowa History Center Prize for Master Thesis

Seth Hedquist was given the honor for his thesis, “The Chronicles of Agrimusic.” The award comes with a plaque and $1,000 prize. Hedquist completed his master’s degree in history at Iowa State University and is currently a professional musician living and working in Des Moines. More…

THIS THURSDAY: Map Expert Christopher Lane from Antiques Roadshow to Speak

Christopher Lane, the owner of The Philadelphia Print Shop West and frequent map appraiser for the popular Antiques Roadshow, will speak at 7 p.m. Sept. 15 in the Kent Campus Center’s Hubbell Hall on the Simpson College campus.
