The discussion will feature Delbert Spurlock, former assistant secretary of the Army under the Reagan Administration. Andrea Casaretto Awarded Gilman Scholarship to Study in Morocco

“In many ways Andrea is a TRIO poster child,” said Stephanie Neve, retention coordinator in Student Support Services. “TRIO exists for the purpose of helping students like Andrea access and successfully complete a college education. Geophysicist, Norwalk Native to Discuss Climate Change at Simpson Event on Sept. 28

During the presentation, Breeding will explain the often misunderstood global definition of “climate change” and how it equates today to “global warming.” He will present evidence that our planet is warming at an increasing rate; explain the nature of past ice ages and what that means for the future; and describe the impact of those ice ages on our ancestors, Cro-Magnon people. Student Support Services Receives $1.15 Million Grant

SSS grant competitions occur every five years and in each cycle of funding, the U.S. Department of Education receives more applications than it can fund, and the competition is fierce. This year, Simpson was one of 968 programs, both two and four year higher education institutions, to be funded out of 1,600 applications. More…
