Iowa’s Secretary of Agriculture, Bill Northey will be at the John C. Culver Public Policy Center at 4 p.m. on Feb. 12.
Bill Northey will meet with Culver fellows and Simpson students to talk about current issues in Iowa agriculture and the outlook for the new Iowa legislative session.
Northey has been around agriculture his entire life. He is a fourth generation Iowa farmer from the Spirit Lake area. He graduated from Iowa State University, farmed with his grandfather after graduation, and is now serving his second term as Iowa Secretary of Agriculture.
Northey travels around the state throughout the year talking to local farmers and agriculture enthusiasts. He focuses his work as secretary on advancing technology to better care for our environment and striving for a prosperous Iowa agriculture.
