Simpson To Host Open Forum on Public Education Issues April 3

The Culver Public Policy Center at Simpson College and the American Association of University Women will be sponsoring a forum on public education issues the evening of April 3.

The event, which runs from 7 p.m-8:30 p.m., is free and open to the public. It will be held in Hubbell Hall II on the second floor of the Kent Campus Center on Simpson’s Indianola campus.

The invited panelists include:

*Phil Jeneary, Government Relations Director, Iowa Association of School Boards.

*State Sen. Tim Kraayenbrink (Rep.) member of the Iowa Senate Education Committee.

*Randy Richardson, Iowans for Public Education.

*State Rep. Sharon Steckman (Dem.), Ranking Member, Iowa House Education Committee.

*Tammy Wawro, President, Iowa State Education Association.

*David Wilkerson, Government Relations Director, School Administrators of Iowa.

The event will be moderated by Mackenzie Ryan, statewide education reporter for the Des Moines Register.
