The work of artist Steven Wise will be exhibited through Sept. 20 in Farnham Galleries on the Simpson College campus.
An artist reception for Wise will be held from 5-6 p.m. on Sept. 20 on the third floor of Mary Berry Hall, the location of Farnham Galleries.
Wise, who received an MFA in painting from the University of Iowa, lives and works in Prairie Creek, Ark., where he and his wife raise five children.
His biography states: “He is a true believer in the history of abstraction. His work emphasizes geometric forms and playful lines that are both familiar and non-objective.”
In the past five years, Wise’s work has been included in two solo exhibitions, four group exhibitions and two juried exhibitions.
Farnham Galleries is free and open to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. For more information, call 515-961-1212 or go to www.simpson.edu/farnham-galleries.
