Part-time Operations Manager

The Information Technology Service Department at Simpson College has a part-time opening for an operations manager.  This will be a 25 hour a week position, the schedule can be somewhat flexible between the hours of 7:30am and 4:30pm, Monday – Friday. (Hours may vary at the start and end of each semester). Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: creating and managing various user accounts (e-mail, portal and print management); monitoring need and purchasing desk top computing equipment and supplies; data entry; processing of the monthly internal billing for department phone use; as well as other administrative assistant functions.

The successful candidate will be detail oriented, a self-starter with the ability to work independently; have strong interpersonal skills, with a positive customer oriented attitude; have computer knowledge, including experience with Word, excel, data entry and web site maintenance, and have a desire to learn and use a specialized computer software system, as well as good verbal and written communication skills.
