As much as we enjoy class discussion, sometimes it can be difficult to speak up in the classroom under the watchful eye of the professors. That's where Philosophy Over Pizza comes in. At the beginning of the year interested students get together and make a basic schedule of topics that they want to discuss over the semester. Philosophy majors are a given, but the club takes all kinds. Students meet every other week to talk and, of course, eat pizza.
Some previous topics include: ethics of food production, Disney characters and gender stereotypes, Star Wars: good and evil, infant ambiguous genitalia reconstruction, comic books as social commentary, and student-led essays.
