Campus Worship is our contemporary non-denominational worship experience. Come worship with us as we explore what it means to live out Christian faith as students.
In John 4:13-14, Jesus said to her, ‘Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.’
Wednesdays, 8:00 PM, Dirlam Lounge
Spend some time together in fellowship. After Hours is a time for fellowship after Campus Worship on Wednesday nights in Dirlam Lounge. Activities and food are provided by organizations from around campus for a relaxing and fun evening.
The Praise Band is comprised of Simpson students who provide music for Campus Worship on Wednesday nights. It welcomes vocal and instrumental musicians who feel called to serve God through musical praise. Contact Anne Marie Webb at email@example.com if you’d like to get involved!
Practice: TBA, Smith Chapel
Communion is offered at Campus Worship monthly. In addition, Eucharist is offered at Mass each week. Communion can also be offered at other times to anyone who would like to receive the sacrament.
Meet the Worship Circle
Anne Marie Webb
I am Anne Marie Webb, a junior at Simpson this coming year with a double major in Religion and Music. I am super excited for worship this year! I can’t wait to meet the new people and reconnect with ones that have attended in the past. It will be fun working with everyone on the worship team! I was raised Methodist and attend a Methodist church. However, I like to consider myself just Christian in general. I have some interesting beliefs so it’s been hard to sort myself into one particular denomination of Christianity.
My name is Evan Dreessen, and I am a junior studying Music Education. Being a part of the worship team has allowed me to grow in my faith, while helping others do the same. The opportunity to help create a community that expresses love to every single being is a blessing. Feel free to contact me for any advice or questions you may have!
My name is Katie Dean and I am excited to be a part of the Worship circle because I believe music can create experiences that services and sermons never could. I became a part of a praise group at my home church and absolutely fell in love with the way the music moved everybody. When I got to Simpson, I became excited about the idea of a praise band, which was something we didn’t have at my home church. Being a part of the Worship circle gave me a sense of what leading a service looked like, and essentially led to my call to ministry.
Hello my name is Alli Parker! I am going into my second year at Simpson. I am incredibly excited to be a part of the RLC team, especially with my emphasis on CSO. I have turned to faith ever since my sophomore year of high school when I traveled to a youth conference with 20,000 other Catholic students my age. It was through that weekend I was hit with how incredibly important faith is, and that I wanted to spread the love I felt and share it with others.
