 Sociology and Criminal Justice

Undergraduate Research at Simpson College

Are you interested in creating in-depth knowledge? “Doing research” may lead to inproving your information literacy skills, written communication, quantitative or qualitative reasoning abilities.  Past research projects have focused upon real-life criminal justice and sociological problems.

Departmental faculty collaborates with students through the independent study courses, independent research, specialized offerings such as Honors Research or Methods of Social Research II, or through collaboration with other departments across the campus.  Check out the link here for more information about the Simpson Urban Studies Institute, which is a cross-discipline research center, or here, Research Symposium, for the annual spring undergraduate research symposium, which is a college-wide, major event on campus.

If you are interested in undergraduate research, Simpson has it covered. Contact your advisor with your interest and questions!
