Resources for MACJ students

Congratulations!

If you are reading this page, you are preparing for your comprehensive examination for the MACJ and you are finalizing your coursework.

Please understand that at minimum you must have completed the six core courses before registering for the Comprehensive Exam. However, most of our students sit for the exam after the conclusion of all of their coursework or during their final semester of coursework.

For the 2016-2017 academic year, the following are dates for the Comprehensive Exams:

  • Saturday, October 29th, 2016, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Simpson Ankeny campus (all day for the exam).
  • Saturday, March 4th, 2017, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Simpson Ankeny campus (all day for the exam).

Contact MACJ Advisor Craig Peck to ensure that you register for the examination, CJ 595 for the semester in which you intend to take the exam. Once you do so, you will be able to access resources and information on the CJ 595 Scholar site.

And, if you prefer, you can learn of these tips in a face-to-face meeting with Dr. Samantha O’Hara, MACJ Director, and your peers:

  • Wednesday, September 7th, 2016, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Simpson Ankeny campus
  • Tuesday, January 10th, 2017, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Simpson Ankeny campus.

Please contact MACJ Advisor Craig Peck or Dr. Samantha O’Hara if you have any specific questions, or reach out to any of our faculty members.
