The Sport Science and Health Education Department will help guide you towards a career in medicine, health, sport management, teaching PE and/or health, strength and conditioning, cardiac rehab, health coaching and more. In addition, many of our students have gone on to graduate studies in various related fields.
Previous students have experience working in the White House Athletic Center; assisting the staff of the Minnesota Vikings; and working with USA Track and Field. They’ve also landed jobs in high schools, colleges, physical therapy clinics and fitness centers across the country. If you have the drive and ambition to work in the field of sport science and health education, Simpson will help you succeed.

Brady Buresh ’08 is the Williams Arena and Sports Pavilion manager at the University of Minnesota, where he oversees the facilities and organizes events for the Big 10 university. It’s a dream job, and Simpson helped make that dream come true.
With the help of the Exercise Science Club, Student Government Association and a generous donation by TrekDesk, students are now able to study on a treadmill desk available in Dunn Library on campus. Students not only can stay fit, they also can improve their retention dramatically.
