The College hosts a variety of summer camps, catering to a variety of interests and ages.

Whether you’re a young person looking for jazz camp or one of our many sports camps, Simpson College is the place to be when the temperature rises.

Non-Athletic Camps

Jazz Camp

Sun. 6/11– Fri. 6/16.

This camp is for students age 12–19 looking for an intensive experience to gain skill and experience in jazz and improvisation.

Youth Academy

Sat. 6/24–Sun. 7/2. Early arrivals on 6/22 & 6/23.

Through worship, service and reflection explore difficult questions about God with the help of mentors.

Debate Camp

Sun. 6/25–Fri. 6/30.

For students in grades 9 through 12 looking to sharpen their debate skills.

SC Humanities Camp

Sun. 6/25–Fri. 6/30.

For students ages 10–14 interested in “majoring” and “minoring” in magic, mythology and more.

Orpheus Singing Actor Camp

Sun. 7/16–Sat. 7/22

For high school music students interested in a week of incredible musical experiences.

Summit Debate Camp

Fri. 7/28–Sun. 8/6.

Summit debate offers the most advanced programs for speech and debate to prepare you for your next year.

Learn skills and techniques from Simpson coaches.

Youth Football Camp

Mon. 6/5–Thur. 6/8.

This is a half day camp for kids in grades K–8 and aims to expose kids to the fundamentals of football through technique, games and fun.

7 on 7 and OL/DL

Sun. 7/9 & 7/16.

Skill camp offered for individual athletes and teams and will be conducted in shells (helmet and shoulder pads).

Two-Day Team Camps:

These are full contact, padded team camp sessions that offer players resources to improve technique, fundamentals and achieve team goals.

Volleyball Camps


Mon. 6/12–Thur. 6/15.

Netfest is a girls volleyball and basketball camp for 4th to 9th graders. Athletes can sign up for only volleyball, only basketball or both. Volleyball only sessions are 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Basketball only sessions  are 9:00am to 12:00pm.

Volleyball Specialist Camp

Sun. 6/11

A one day camp for 9th through 12th graders that provides advanced skill training in specialized positions.


Mon. 6/12–Thur. 6/15.

This camp is for early elementary students each day from 9:00am to 12:00pm featuring an emphasis on fundamental skills.

Stormfest Team Camp

Wed. 7/26.

This is a one day camp for 9th and 10th grade teams to improve team play.

High School Team Camp 

Thur. 7/27–Fri. 7/28.

Competitive team play camp featuring team clinics and practice sessions, skills contests, and team building for 9th to 12th grade teams. 

Basketball Camps

Men’s Basketball Youth Camp

Mon. 6/5–Thur. 6/8

A camp for athletes in grades K–8. This is a half day camp that runs from 8:00am to 11:30am.


Mon. 6/12–Thur. 6/15.

Simpson Elite Prospect Camp

Fri. 6/16–Sun. 6/18.

This is an overnight camp for players ages 15–18. There is a Men’s and Women’s camp.

XC/Track Camps

Track and Field Youth Camp

Times go from 8:00am to 10:00am for grades 2 through 5. For 6th through 8th grade times are 10:00am to 12:00pm.

 Cross Country Camp of Champions

Sun. 7/9–Thur. 7/13.

This camp is for runners in junior high and high school and is hosted by 2012 Olympian Lisa Uhl.

Enjoy an in-depth look at the Des Moines Metro Opera as you attend two performances, see an apprentice concert, visit backstage and learn what it takes to put on a world-class show.
