The Theatre Simpson Scholarship Application is now available online.   Click here to apply for a Theatre Simpson scholarship.

Simpson College offers scholarships to students who want to major or minor in theatre and students who enjoy participating in theatre. Theatre Simpson scholarships are awarded to students who show potential in the performance, technical, or both aspects of theatre production.

While attending a Theatre Simpson Scholarship Event, students will:

  • Meet the faculty, staff and students
  • Attend Simpson Underground (a late-night, student-run cabaret performance)
  • Stay overnight with a student host and participate in a theatre class
  • Take part in the audition/portfolio/interview process.

All of this, as well as dinner Thursday night and breakfast Friday, are provided at no cost to students considering attending Simpson College.

This year’s schedule will be posted  soon.

To be considered for this opportunity, contact our Educational Outreach Coordinator, Ann Woldt, at 1-800-362-2454 (ext. 1327) or e-mail

Information regarding the audition/interview process and the responsibilities of a Theatre Simpson Scholarship are also available online.
