The Simpson College religion department has been approved for a chapter of Theta Alpha Kappa, the National Honor Society for Religious Studies and Theology. This honor will not only allow eligible students to apply to Theta Alpha Kappa, but will also allow both members and non-members to submit papers to the Journal of Theta Alpha Kappa.
To join Theta Alpha Kappa, majors must be upper class and have a 3.5 GPA in the major. Recent inductees include Jacob McLain, Sara Miller Mayes, Jacy Gomez, and Dani Musselman, all May 2016 graduates, and Brooke Westphalen, 2017 graduate.
