College preparatory courses required for all Upward Bound participants are:

English                      4 years

Math                          at least 3 years –  Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II required

Science                      at least 3 years – Earth Science, Biology and Chemistry required

(Physics strongly encouraged)

Social Studies            at least 3 years

Foreign Language   2-3 years of a single language

Electives                     at least 2 years

Upward Bound Participants are expected to maintain a regular class load of college preparatory courses that will enable them to meet all graduation requirements and graduate from high school within four years.

Upward Bound participants are expected to maintain a semester GPA of  2.00 or above.

In addition, we expect that Upward Bound participants will:

• Be respectful to everyone, staff and students.
• Be ready to learn and participate fully in Upward Bound activities.
• Be involved; using your time and talents to benefit your community, family and  Upward Bound.
