Bryan Geelan joined the staff in July of 2009. Geelan is a 2007 Simpson graduate, where he was a member of the football team and sports editor for the student newspaper, The Simpsonian.
Geelan came to Simpson from NCAA Division I Mercer University in Macon, Ga., where he spent one year as a sports information graduate assistant. While at Mercer, he served as the main contact for the men’s soccer and baseball teams while providing game-day support for volleyball and men’s and women’s basketball.
Before joining Mercer’s staff, Geelan was an athletics communication intern for the Atlantic Sun Conference, also in Macon, Ga.
Geelan graduated from Simpson in December of 2007 with degrees in marketing and corporate communication. While at Simpson, Geelan was a letterwinner for the football team, earning academic all-conference honors three times. He was a sports writer for The Simpsonian for one year and spent a semester as the paper’s sports editor.
Originally from Ruthven, Iowa, Geelan resides in Indianola with his wife, Tricia '10, and son, Holt.
