I have been teaching in higher education since 2011 and have a passion for being involved in students’ education of psychology and their academic success. I especially enjoy introducing students to the field of psychology through Simpson’s introduction to psychology course. This course provides students with knowledge that extends beyond a psychology-related setting. I teach students in a way for them to see psychology as a science. In doing this, I assist students with understanding research methods and conducting their own research study over psychological phenomena. One specific area of psychology I am passionate about is gender psychology. I currently teach at Simpson College and Drake University.
My other interests, outside of psychology, include cooking, baking, boating, fishing, reading, watching movies/tv shows, and spending time with my family and friends.
