Robert Vance

Adjunct Professor
Robert teaches math courses with an emphasis on Probability Theory, Statistics, and Actuarial Science.



Robert teaches Probability for majors in Mathematics and Financial Mathematics for Actuarial Science students (and has passed even some of the actuary exams himself).  He also teaches Applied Statistics for students in Business and Management majors and is developing an online version of the course as well.


In the past at Simpson, he has taught other math courses from Calculus to Complex Analysis and has led student research in the field of Mathematical Billiards, a subject of particular interest to him.
